About this Death Cafe

We are hosting Margate's Death Cafe with a deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of open and honest conversations.

The concept of death, often shrouded in fear and discomfort, deserves a space where individuals can explore it in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

Our approach is simple yet profound: there are no agendas, objectives, or themes. Instead, we create a welcoming atmosphere for attendees to share their thoughts, emotions, and experiences related to death and dying.

As co-hosts, Sorrell Robbins and Amber Trentham, we aim to facilitate these discussions, ensuring they remain respectful and gentle.

Through this unique approach, we aim to foster greater awareness of death, helping people embrace the fullness of their finite lives while leaving the world a more compassionate place.

And there will, of course, be tea and cake!

About Sorrell Robbins & Amber Trentham

Hi I'm Sorrell Robbins, a dedicated explorer on a journey to unravel the mysteries of life and leave a positive mark on our world. My heart beats in harmony with nature, and I've devoted myself to the cause of connecting people with plants. As a firm believer in the power of dialogue, I've embraced the role of a Conversational Catalyst. Whether it's facilitating discussions at Margate's Death Cafe or engaging in meaningful conversations about life, death, and everything in between, I'm committed to creating safe and enriching spaces for open and honest exchanges.

Hi I am Amber Trentham, a writer and story teller with a unique passion for delving into life's most profound topics. As the co-host of Margate's Death Cafe, I bring my compassionate and nurturing spirit to the table. My aim is to create safe and inviting spaces where people from all walks of life can engage in open conversations about death and the human experience.

Please join us in exploring the uncharted territories of existence, one heartfelt conversation at a time.
