About this Death Cafe
2 years ago my father died of cancer; he had had a long healthy life; but at the end he was full of anxiety, and had to carry this alone as he did not want to share his thaughts and feelings. That is ok.
But I discovered that I need a place to share my reflections with others about hope, fears and thoughts about death.
'Death Cafe' is a possibility to bring this tradition to my homecity Randers.
I believe we need a Death Cafe to qualify life.
About Birgitte Sørensen
I am 60 year old - daughter, sister, mother and wife.
My mother is til alive; the illness and death of my father led my to knowledge of the 'Death Cafe' concept. And I'm thankfull for that.
I found out that I need a place, where it is possible to reflect my thought and listen to other people dealing with their hopes, fears and thoughts about death.
'Death Cafe' gave me hope and a vision to bring this tradition to my homecity Randers.
I believe we need a Death Cafe to qualify life.

Professional I am an occupational therapist, been working 25 years in mental health hospital and now as a psykotherapist.
I will organise this evening togheter with the lokal cafe 'Operaen' and be your host and facilitator during this Death Cafe in Randers.
