About this Death Cafe
The Portland Death Cafe is BACK! We will resume our monthly meetings (after a long Covid initiated hiatus) on the third Wednesday of each month at the Portland Public Library from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm.
Death is going to happen to all of us, why not talk about it?
And cake! Who doesn't want cake??
Join us the third Wednesday of every month for skull cakes and death-related conversation!
About Leona Oceania
Leona is a passionate and outspoken advocate of the 'Death Positive' movement, as well as alternative funeral and burial options. (There are so many choices!) In addition to faciliating the Portland Area Death Cafe, she is a Death Educator, Home Funeral Guide, End of Life Doula, Life Legacy Facilitator, Hospice Volunteer, and board member of the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Maine.
She also loves reading, writing, and naps.
