DeathCafe.com started in England in 2011 and gatherings have been held in over 85 countries so far!

Death Cafe is not for profit and it is not a bereavement support or grief counselling setting - it is simply a group of humans gathering to discuss the ultimate "taboo" topic: death.

The objective is to help increase awareness, normalise and demystify the topics of death and dying, with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives!

Death Cafes are casual, inclusive, supportive and pressure-free; a safe, respectful and welcoming space for people to reflect, share their thoughts and feelings about death and dying and learn from one another.

This is an opportunity to speak frankly, in an open, meaningful conversation...sharing our thoughts, questions, experiences, fears, hopes and whatever else arises!

Death Cafes have no set agenda, objectives or themes and no hierarchy; they are discussion groups rather than grief support or counselling sessions.

This event is free, however refreshments such as coffee and baked goods are available for purchase from Destinations!
