About this Death Cafe
The event basically looks like this:
1. You turn up at the venue for 7pm
2. You have a coffee and a slice of cake if you want.
3. You get to meet the other people attending that evening.
4. You get to talk in a safe, cosy, relaxed environment about mortality, life, death... what ever floats your boat or interests you.
5. You leave... knowing you probably just made a few friends!!
About Elizabeth and Pat
Pat is facilitating the September meeting.
Pat is a local counsellor/psychotherapist/ Qi Gong teacher. Her calm and open manner encourages people to look at the subject matter deeply. An avid reader, Pat has summarised some interesting books on death and dying. She also opens up the venue and closes on time.
Elizabeth lives in Sowerby and has been very involved in shaping the local hospice movement. Now retired she turns her hand to many things, including grandchildren and numerous community activities. It is great having her care and experience to draw from.
