About Morgan Libby:

My name is Morgan Libby.  I’m originally from upstate New York, but live currently in Boiling Springs, SC.  I am married to the love of my life, Doug, and we have two beautiful kids, Douglas, and McKenna.  We also have a cat, Cammy and a Boston Terrier, Sassy.  This is definitely a house full!  But we love it.

Doug and I moved from Crestview, FL January 2023 and before that, were in Spokane, WA.  While in Washington, we heard about Sound Healing.  That peaked our interest.  First off, Doug is a drum builder.  He owns his own business, Doug’s Drums, LLC., which allows him to make and offer sacred tools such as Shaman frame drums, rattles, shakers, drum beaters, as well as other items to the world.

So, with that foundation already, we saw Sound Healing and immediately were taken with it.  Music IS therapy.  When you think about it, how many times do you find yourself unwinding in your car while listening to your favorite station on your way home from work?  Or listening to soothing music while at the spa?  But what is special with the Sound Healing modality is that you literally FEEL the music.  You feel that vibration throughout your body.

Doug found an academy called, you guessed it, “Sound Healing Academy,” and he signed up for his Level I certification.  He completed the course and attended in person workshop, with Barbara Zago in Idaho.  Then I completed my Level I certification in the fall of 2019, then my Level II later on.  Last year I have done several Sound Healing group sessions at various studios and a few yoga retreats throughout the Florida Panhandle and loved it!  I want to get back into now that we are settled in Boiling Springs.  I am also going to be adding End-of-Life Doula Services to my offerings in the upcoming months to provide assistance and support to those who are in palliative care and in hospice.

I will also be tying in Reiki with my Sound Healing and End-of-Life Care sessions as well.  Or, just Reiki alone if that is what you would prefer.  I received my Level I & II certification in Usui Reiki from Sonya Nobles Dukett from Niavana Studio, Pensacola, Florida. I am new at this modality and will only be accepting “love donations” for my services at this time.

I have always felt like I have been called to be a healer.  But it has only been in recent years that I have really been PULLED to it.  I think that many of us have lost touch with nature, and with ourselves due to all the current events and technologies that are out there. We need to get back to our roots and ground ourselves.  I want to be part of that process for you J Just knowing that I made a life better for another makes my soul happy.

I hope to hear from you soon. If you have any questions, or suggestions, please reach out.  I’d appreciate any assistance in this journey.  My website is: www.owlinthewindhealingllc.com if you liked to check it out!

Much Love

-          Morgan

What brings you to Death Cafe?

I would like talk to others about death, and the dying process.  Many avoid this topic, but I feel it is a topic that needs to be talked about more.

What would you like your legacy to be?

I'd like my legacy to be that I helped those transition out of this life with peace and dignity.

Thoughts for sharing:

Dying is a part of our life cycle that should be celebrated and cherished.  It should not be feared, but considered a sacred journey home.
