About this Death Cafe

I'm doing this event for my death doula certification but also because it's been something I wanted to do since I learn about Death Cafes. I got motivated after attending a workshop of my collueges De Vuelta a Casa, who are death doulas to from Puerto Rico. We are trying to build community. I want to get to the hearts of people and just hold space, it's a process that is helping me in my own grieving process. I love the arts, poetry, writing and I want to educate how we can make this tools for our grief. My sponsor is La Librería La Esquina, is a local library who's lending me their space to hold the Death Cafe there, they help the LGBTQIA+ community.

Hello my name is Keishla and I'm a Death Doula from Puerto Rico, I love how we can manage our grief with arts and I just want to spread this community into my contry. That we can talk about death and normalize it.
