About this Death Cafe

So often does our purpose for living come into question! Death must happen and it will. For what purpose are we led to it? Why must we exist as each of our identities if we must die? How has death, both metaphorically and physically, impacted our lives? How has death helped us to appreciate Life more? Or has it done the opposite? These questions and more would spark a different answer from everyone. Let's explore our dynamic with living and dying at our monthly Death Cafes!

Join us for open discussion on first Sundays at 10:45 am.

Momento Mori, Momento Vivere!

About Tabitha Nicole

Tabitha is a yogi, dancer and artist who daylights as a massage therapist, esthetician and yoga instructor.

She has always had a love of merciful Death in it's many incarnations ever since reading about him as the brother of Ole Luckojë (The Sandman) and the myth of Persephone in a book of fairytales. Death, afterall, is an unavoidable experience. It's not a matter of IF but WHEN.

After losing her puppy Matilda at the age of 8, she learned no one is ever too young to die and many people don't live long enough to enjoy the small joys and milestones or to overcome the vicissitudes of life. Sometimes it's brutal. Sometimes it's a kindness. It's always unavoidable.

This was reaffirmed with each tragic loss of grandparents, close friends and even her father.
