About Amy May

Amy holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Western New Mexico University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oregon. She completed Death Doula training through the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA) and is a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) and the Association for Death Education and Counseling. She is a Reiki Level 1 practitioner and the End-of-Life Specialist for Subtle Winds Psilocybin Wellness Program.

In 2018, Amy founded the End-of-Life Counseling program at White Bird Clinic in Eugene, OR, in response to oppressive systemic structures that hinder equitable access to end-of-life care. Her private practice, Sacred Phases Counseling & Death Doula Services, opened in 2021. Amy is a fierce ally of the LGBTQA+ & BIPOC community and works to increase accessibility to end-of-life care for all.
