About this Death Cafe
of death, dying, and living with the conscious awareness of
death. A group-oriented discussion with no specific agenda
or biases. Just space for people to
share ideas, feelings, experiences, questions, concerns and honor death.
We are committed to breaking the social taboos against talking about death. Our objective is to "increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives."
About Death Cafe Vashon
Our facilitators are a group of Island residents with experience in the medical, caregiving, and human services fields. We believe that talking about death (a big subject) is important to help us truly live our lives. We are introducing our Death Cafe Vashon so people will feel free to bring their interest, curiosity, questions and stories to share with one another.
