About this Death Cafe
There are many reasons to participate in this conversation about death - all are acceptable. At a Death Cafe, people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and talk about death.
We don't talk about death much, yet it is a daily fact of life, isn't it? Death is removed from sight, hidden in hospitals, assisted living and nursing homes. What aspect of death is on your mind? Come break the taboo of denial and silence surrounding death in a compassionate, informal, nurturing environment.
Although his event is held in a Buddhist center, there is no agenda, no sales, and no promotion of any particular ideology. The participants choose what to talk about. All are welcome!
This event is free. However, donations are welcome to cover the cost of refreshments. Because space is limited, RSVPs are required. To RSVP or for more information, please contact Susan Oliver at seoliver@lmi.net.
