About River City Death Doulas (Toshia Green, Vai Morgan, and Julia Hill)

RVA Death Cafe is a safe place to conversate about death with like-minded people and it supports our local community in healing. Our objective is '"to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives". A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

This event is facilitated by the River City Death Doulas.  The River City Death Doulas is a collective of three end-of-life doulas founded in Richmond, VA. As a group, we serve clients and their families throughout the dying process.  We provide emotional and physical support by creating a safe space for all feelings. As an organization, we educate clients on the dying process, prepare them for the transition, and help carry out their end-of-life wishes after their passing.
